This is normally how things are in the society.
Marriage/Live-in Proposal
A man ask a woman for Marriage/Live-in proposal.
Living together
Female move to the residence of the man.
Changing family name
Female change her family name and remove her father name and
add her husband name as family name e.g. my mother birth name was Tahira
Muhammad Ali, but after marriage she changed it to Tahira Haider.
Children family
name
Children family name is their father name e.g. My Daughter Given
name is Aliza, and Family name is Shahzad.
In my opinion the traditional way is not right and we need
to change it. In my opinion it should be as follows;
Marriage/Live-in
Proposal
Any one of the two can ask for Marriage/Live-in Proposal.
Living together
The man and woman should decide where they want to live together.
They can live together at male home/female home/at a new home.
Changing family name
Male change his family name and remove his father name and
add his wife name as family name e.g. my birth name is Shahzad Haider, and
after marriage I change my name to Shahzad Shahida.
Female change her family name and remove her father name and
add her husband name as family name or e.g. my mother birth name was Tahira
Muhammad Ali, but after marriage she changed it to Tahira Haider.
Children family
name
Children family name should be decided by their parents with
any of the following options.
1)
Family name should be name of both farther and
mother name e.g. My Daughter given name is Aliza and her family name should be
Shahzad Shahida.
2)
For Son the family name should be his father name,
and for Daughter the family name should be her Mother name.
Our society is male dominant society and male would not let
go the privileges they get in the society. The society is composed of 50% male
and 50% female so Females have to fight for same rights. I do not like the term
Women’s Rights it should be Same Rights.
