Your actions should be according to your beliefs. If your actions are not according to your beliefs then your actions are wrong. You are answerable to no one but yourself.
Following are the examples;
1) You are in a situation where you believe lying is the right action so you lie. Your action is right.
2) You are in a situation where you believe lying is the right action but you speak the truth. Your action is wrong.
3) You are in a situation where you believe killing someone is the right action and you kill that person. Your action is right.
4) You are in a situation where you believe killing someone is the wrong action and you kill that person. Your action is wrong.
5) You believe a person should make decisions according to his/her heart, not his/her mind, your actions are according to that belief. Your actions are right.
6) You believe a person should make decisions according to his/her heart, not his/her mind, your actions are not according to that belief. Your actions are wrong.
7) You believe God exists and your actions are according to that belief. Your actions are right.
8) You believe God exists and your actions are not according to that belief. Your actions are wrong.
9) You believe God does not exist and your actions are according to that belief. Your actions are right.
10) You believe God does not exist and your actions are not according to that belief. Your actions are wrong.
11) You believe Jesus is the son of God and your actions are according to that belief. Your actions are right.
12) You believe Jesus is the son of God and your actions are not according to that belief. Your actions are wrong.
13) You believe Jesus is not the son of God and your actions are according to that belief. Your actions are right.
14) You believe Jesus is not the son of God and your actions are not according to that belief. Your actions are wrong.
From this, I conclude that killing, lying, etc. could be right or wrong depending on your belief. You could believe in God or not believe in God both are fine, but your actions should be according to your belief.
On a side note, I believe a person should make decisions according to his heart, not his mind, but I sometimes make decisions according to my mind. So sometimes my actions are wrong, but I believe my beliefs are right.
